Favourite Summer Nail Polishes

Hello!

So if you live in Canada like I do, you'll know that summer is now upon us! School's out and the freedom of the summer months begins! We'll if you don't have to work, I do so my freedom is restricted to my work schedule! Oh well, fun times are still ahead hopefully!

Anyways, one of my best things about summer is being able to switch over to my favourite nail polish shades! Currently, I have gel nails but once these come off I'll be painting my finger nails with one of these shades. I thought today I'd share with you my favourite shades for summer! This time of the year is perfect to wear bright shades, corals and pastels! Now, please remember that you don't have to conform to trends! If your in the mood to rock so dark plumy shades then you do you! Honestly, I wear whatever I'm in the mood for but these are the shades that I always pick up when the summer months come around.

Blackfish

Hello!

The other day, my family and I watched a documentary called Blackfish. This documentary is about the Orcas the live within Seaworld, and the abuse and issues that surround them. I've never agreed with Seaworld as a place, it's cruel to take animals out of there natural habitats to entertain humans. Also, these animals that are bred in captivity can never be freed into their proper habitat because they will not have the skills to survive for very long. This documentary was such an eye opener to me as to what happens behind the scenes that we don't get to see.

Please watch this, I promise you won't regret it. It will open your eyes so much and change you mind about places like Seaworld.

These places need to be closed down, and the animals need to live a life outside of captivity and performing the same routine everyday.

Keep dreaming and make those dreams a reality x

Bath Essentials

Hello!

I love a good bath, but I'm very specific on what goes into my bath. If I'm going to treat myself, I'm going to treat myself well. I also love trying new products, so my bath products are constantly changing up. But it's the same basic products each time, just different brands. I also need to be very careful on what goes into my bath, I deal with mild to moderate eczema pretty much all over my body. So I try to stick to things that won't break out my skin, but with me loving to try new products it can be a bit of a struggle. These current products in the picture below work very well on my skin. I totally recommend these to you, but keep in mind that just because something works well on my skin does not mean it will on yours.

I'll just list these in the order that I put the products into my bath!

To begin I always put in some sort of bubble bath, currently I'm enjoying the Soap and Glory Calm One Calm All Bubbling Bath Soak. I absolutely love this product, it smells so amazing. It is a soothing smell, not to sweet. Which is nice for a change, it is also helps calm down any breakouts I may be having at that time. I also enjoy to use a Bubble Bar from Lush, there great because they are super cheap! Bubble Bars also create a massive amount of bubbles that last ages! My personal favourite is The Comforter!

After that I put in some sort of Bath Soak, currently I am using the Calgon Ageless Bath Nourishing Milk Bath and The Body Shop Honeymania Bath Soak. Both leave my skin so soft and nourished, also both have amazing smells! The Calgon Soak is very soothing smell with a sweet underscent that isn't too strong. The Honeymania is a much sweeter sweet, but once again isn't too strong or overpowering! The Honeymania can also double as a Bubble Bath if you choose to use it as that.

The next step is to add a Body Oil, this is a new thing to me but Oh my! It really does make a difference! Seriously, if you haven't tried it before, you defiantly should! It helps sooth any angry red skin instantly and keeps it at bay for a while. It also helps to lock in any moisture. The one I am currently enjoying is the J.R. Watkins Body and Bath Oil in the Pomegranate version. Best one I used yet!

The final step is to put in a Lush Bath Bomb, this step is crucial and essential! Bath Bombs are seriously the best thing in creation, and I feel extremely sad if I don't have one for my bath! I love all the different ones that Lush sells, any one will do for me! These are also amazing because the help sooth my skin even more, and there is many amazing and healthy ingredients for your skin in each and every Bath Bomb. You really can't go wrong with one on these guys. Also they are super cheap! My personal favourite is the Sex Bath Bomb, Twilight Bath Bomb and the Sakura Bath Bomb! Seriously, if you haven't tried one yet, I recommend that you do!

Keep Dreaming! Then make those dreams a reality! x

What's in my Purse?

Hello!

So I've kinda been obsessed with watching videos and reading blogposts about what other women put into their purses and how they organize it! Also, I'm kinda snoopy so I'm always curious to see what others deem as essential in their handbag. I can't be the only one right? :) Trust me when I say that my purse can always do with a few good upgrades and organization tips. I'm always just throwing things in there without thinking about it, since i'm always on the go.

Anyways, I thought I'd share the inside of my purse with you. Maybe you'll find some tips or ideas for your own purse along the way!

I always need a notebook somewhere near by, defiantly prefer to write things down where I can always go back to look. I'm always writing down blog post ideas or pictures I want to try and capture while i'm out for the day!

This is my little food bag, I always keep some healthier snacks on hand so I can reach for those instead of something bad while i'm out. I also keep packets of Truvia for coffee and teas and Crystal Light for water.

Music is such an important thing to me, its something that always makes me happy and can easily sway my mood. I have my iPod Classic with me wherever I go! Also, I think spending a bit more to get amazing headphones is totally worth it! It changes the whole experience of listening to music greatly.

My old school Canon PowerShot A560, I also take this with me wherever I go. It's old but it still takes great photos, and between this and my iPhone i don't feel the need to upgrade my Camera just yet. I've loved taking photos since I was little, so it's something I like to do everyday!

My wallet, not much to say about it other then the fact I have way too many store cards! But who doesn't now days?!

My tail comb/teasing brush, essential for my purse because I have very long and thick hair. So it's always a struggle to keep it tame.

If I can't keep it tame, it goes up into a messy bun and I just hope that it doesn't fall out!

Body sprays, my favourites are these ones from Victoria's Secret. They are honestly the best ones I have ever used, they last a long time after you spray them. Which is such a bonus!

Lotion is always something that I keep near by, I struggle with eczema and my skin is always dry!

Anti-Bacterial Hand Gel cause germs. Ew.

Gum, because I have a slight addiction to it. I just love trying new gum. What a weirdo, hey?

Powder, mirrors and a billion lip products. I normally have at least 5 lip products in my purse!

It can get insanely bright here in Alberta, so sunglasses are a must. Look! You can see me taking pictures in the lens of my glasses! Please excuse the fact that I don't have any nail polish on, I'm on vacation right now!

Tissues can be a saviour in many different situations! Always have on hand people!

Keep dreaming x

Hello!

Do you appreciate the small things in life? I do now, but I didn't always...
I used to live for the big moments in life, of course these moments are absolutely amazing and are things you will remember forevermore. But sometimes there are large gaps of time between these moments, and I used to get a little down on life. I used to think that life should be a constant rush and I should always being doing something exciting! But i've learned that life doesn't happen that way, at least not in my life anyway and I'm okay with that! There's going to be times when life is a constant blur of time and exciting things and theres going to be other times when life is quiet. I recently had a period of time when I wasn't working or going to school, so for a couple months I had a lot of home time. But in that time, I started to realize that theres quite a bit of small everyday things that make me happy that I hadn't noticed before. So, I started to write a list of the small simple things that made me happy everyday!
