Beauty Review: Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation

Hello!

Happy Wednesday to you!

How's your week going so far?

Summer is almost at a close... frighting I know. It's starting to get a bit cooler here, and I thought it probably about time I switch up my foundation again for the new season. But I'm not sure I'm ready to give up my summer one! The one I've be using and loving all summer is the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation! So I thought i'd do a little review of it for you.

This has been an amazing foundation for the summer, it's so dewy and light feeling! Honestly, it doesn't feel heavy at all. Theres been a few occasions where i've wore two layers of it for special events and it still didn't feel heavy! It really does give my skin an extra little boost, it is a considered a  anti- fatigue foundation and it really does do that. It contains light reflecting particles that just make your skin look amazing and healthy in the sun. I'd say it is a medium coverage foundation, but it is for sure okay to layer. It contains vitamin c, which it amazing for you skin and helps with keeping your skin look radiant. It is very natural looking, it makes your skin still look like skin.

This foundation comes in a 5 shades and in Canada it retails for $10.00 per bottle. The only thing I don't like about this foundation is the lack of shades. If you have deeper skin tone, this foundation does not have a shade for you which bothers me extremely. I've always thought that if your going to make a foundation, allow it to cater to everyone!

Hair Products That I've Been Enjoying!

Hello there!

The other day I was at the Salon getting my haircut and my hairdresser complimented me on how healthy my hair was and my first thought was "WHAT?!". I style my hair with heat almost everyday, but I try to protect it the best I can with the hair products I put into my hair. I have very long, thick naturally curly hair and I absolutely love my hair. I normally curl it into loose bouncy curls or diffuse it to get my naturally curly hair to it's best. Anyways, she asked me what I use in my hair so explained to her all the different products I use and it inspired me to write a blog post! I wanted to share with you all the products that I think are the best, but keep in mind that these work for my hair type. Everyone has different hair, so tailor to what you think would work best!

(Not the best quality photo!)
My hair!

TRESemme Platinum Strength Strengthing Heat Protection Spray
(I don't have a picture cause I need to go buy new one tomorrow!)

Bastiste Dry Shampoo XXL Volume
Best way to get volume quick, and it lasts! Just use like any other Dry Shampoo and poof! You've got volume!

Marc Anthony Oil of Morocco Argan Oil Treatment
I use this in my damp hair and before I apply heat to my hair, just a very small amount! It one of the best things for your hair, and can make such a difference.

TRESemme Split Remedy Leave In Conditioner Treatment
This really does help prevent spilt ends so much, also leaves my hair very smooth and frizz free.

TRESemme Perfectly (un) Done Waves Sea Salt Spray
Great way to add some texture! Just spray, scrunch and your ready to go!

TRESemme Perfectly (un) Done Waves Hairspray
I'm not too fussy about what hairspray I use, as long as it's got some hold to it.
But this one is great for when I want to curl my hair but then brush it out. I curl a piece, then spray hairspray on it, wait for it cool and then brush all my hair out at once.

Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Curl Scrunching Gel
I use this when I diffuse my hair, I apply it when my hair is wet and then diffuse.

Internet Hate

Hello!

Internet hate just makes me so sad... lately I've been seeing more and more of it. Particularly on Twitter and Youtube, and I know this is something we see everyday but the fact that so many people see it as a normal thing upsets me.

Now I'm not saying we should all join hands and run into the sunset, there is always going to be people who don't get along and don't agree with each other. You have the right to not like something or someone. But why do people have to be so mean and horrid to each other?

Why would you waste you time watching or getting involved with something that upsets you, pisses you off or you simply don't like? Just to be a hater? Who would want to do that? Your literally choosing to live a negative life by doing that. Go somewhere else and watch or get involved  something that makes you happy and you like! Your gonna save yourself hurt and from hurting others.

Also, your are entitled to have an opinion. But theres no need to be so rude, hateful and mean while expressing it. Be Kind and Polite.

Anyways, just my thoughts for the day.

Hot Chocolate & 1000 Views!

Hello!

Can we just take a moment to appreciate hot chocolate?

I've been drinking it a lot more lately and it just reminds me of how much I really enjoy it!

I know it's only the middle of August but I think Hot Chocolate is good for anytime of the year, on  rainy days, cold days or maybe when you just need a little boost! Summer is coming to a close (YIKES) and theres nothing wrong with practicing some hot drinks now!

The best brands of hot chocolate for homemade are The Tims Hortons Hot Chocolate or The Cadbury  Hot Chocolate! Give them a try they are honestly the best. If your of age to drink, try adding Baileys Coffee Liquor sometimes. Tastes amazing! If your out in town and wants something warm to drink go to either Tim Hortons or Second Cup! The have the best hot chocolates and honestly the best place to go if you want any kind of drink!

My blog has had just over a 1000 views! Which I think is super exciting! I've been blogging since March and I enjoy it so much! I just want to thank everyone who has given my blog a read! I hope you enjoy my posts and visit again!

Keep dreaming and make those dreams a reality! x

Beauty Review: Yves Saint Laurent ROUGE VOLUPTÉ Lipstick in Peach Passion

Hello!

Happy Tuesday to you! I'm currently sat on my day off with my laptop bringing you another blog post, also currently watching Twilight since it happened to be on tv! My gosh... it feels like ages since I've watched this movie. Not gonna lie, I totally love the movies and the books! I just think the whole feel of them is super cool and different.

Anyways, today I have another beauty review for you! I'll be reviewing the Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte Lipstick in Peach Passion!

This lipstick is very creamy, silky and hydrating, it defiantly is what it claims to be. This specific colour is a very peachy pink, but more on the peach side. The formula is very pigmented and goes on very smoothly, even if you don't apply lip balm before hand. It almost reminds of a very pigmented tinted lip balm. Another thing that's amazing about this lipstick is that it contains SPF 15! Which is great because I know I forget to apply sun block to my lips, anybody else? It is also very long-lasting even with the formula being so creamy. I also find that on my lips it gives a very slight and subtle plumping effect. The packing is so lovely, its very swanky, swish and rich feeling. It makes it feel very special to hold on to.

In Canada this lipstick retails for $39.00 which is defiantly on the higher end of the scale for a lipstick. This lipstick comes in 8 different shades. I defiantly really enjoy this lipstick, I would defiantly recommend this to anyone.

Tattoo & End the Stigma

Hello there!

So on Saturday I went and did something i've always wanted to do, I got a tattoo!

The design is based on the Semi Colon Movement, to help raise awareness on depression, suicide and mental illness. To help end mental illness stigma! When I was 14 years old I was diagnosed with Generalized High Anxiety Disorder and Panic Attack Disorder. I defiantly suffered since I was younger though, we just never had any idea what was going on. These are things I suffer with daily but some days are better then others. I can go weeks with having non stop good days but then have a bought of really shitty days. But I try to fight through the best I can, and this tattoo represents that. I've dealt with a lot in my short 19 years but that's just life and theres' nothing I can do to change that. I just do the best I can and live my life the way I want to. I'm also have the best support system around me, and I know they are always there if I should need them. I've dealt with this for a long time, so I have quite a bit of practice. That doesn't always make it easier though. Be a warrior not a worrier.

I've personally never suffered from depression or suicidal thoughts but I have many friends that do. This tattoo isn't only for me but for anybody who has ever suffered with some sort of mental illness, it reminds me to have strength when I feel like giving up. It's there to remind me that I'm not the only one who feels like this, and to show others that I am there for them if they should need me! I know how scary it can be to be out by yourself while dealing with a panic attack or any issues that relate to mental illness.

If your reading this and you don't suffer from a mental illness, please remember that we are normal people and our issue is only part of us and not us as whole. It's only a small part of our lives, even though it can seem giant sometimes. Be kind. Help end the stigma that surrounds mental illness.

If your someone who thinks they may be suffering from something, please talk to someone! Tell someone how your feeling, this is so important and please don't hide away. This is when bad things happen, I promise you that it is such a relief to tell someone and to get help if you should need it. Do not be ashamed, so many people are just like you and you are not the only one. Take comfort in that. There will always be someone there to help you, even if you feel like there isn't. Help is always there.

Anyways, I'm super happy with my tattoo and I defiantly want more now! It actually wasn't that painful, people said is would hurt a lot since it's on my hand. But it's not that bad, but it always differs from person to person since everyone has a different pain tolerance. My mum and sister also got tattoos at the same time, and they also love the ones they got!

Beauty Review: Nars Illuminator in Copacabana

Hello there!

Hope your having a lovely Tuesday so far!

I have the day off today! I'm currently curled up on my couch with some coffee, my music blasting and I'm working away on my laptop.

Another review for you today! I'll be reviewing the Nars Illuminator in Copacabana!

The colour is a pearl with a pink undertone, and it is more thinner and light then thick and creamy. It is extremely (I mean it when I say extreme) pigmented! Use a very small amount at a time, because it so pigmented it take a bit of time to blend out. I find it easier to apply with fingers on myself and other people such as clients. It can be used as cheek bone, inner corner of the eye, brow bone and cupids bow highlight. You can apply it under your foundation for extra glow or a pick me up if your skin is looking a bit dull. I've also applied it on my eyes, but you must use a eye primer if you have an oily lid. In Canada, it retails at $38 which is definitely on the higher end of the price range for a highlighter. I do love this product, but it isn't something I reach for first out of all my highlighters. I'm not sure it's worth the price to be honest. It does look beautiful on, but its just not the easiest or fastest  thing to apply to the skin.

Planners

Hello!

So recently I have bought something that dare I say has changed my life... a daily planner!

I promise I'm not some crazy organization chick that you see in romantic comedies (basically anything with Katherine Heigl)...  I just found that trying the manage my work, family, friends and blog life was getting a bit much without somewhere to write it all down. Sure I could use my phone, but I've always been the type of person who prefers to actually take the time to write things down. Bit ironic considering that right now I'm writing a blog post on the internet on a computer...

So about a month ago I went out on a mission to find a daily planner... took a me a bit to actually find one that I actually like and that wasn't going to break the bank at the same time! I eventually came across one from a brand called Bando! Let me just say how lovely it is, and it was just the right price because I only paid $25 for it. I'm not sure where else you can buy these, but I know you can get them at any Chapters, Coles or Indigo in Canada. I was also looking at the Kate Spade planners, and as lovely as they are I think $40 is a bit much for my needs in a planner right now.

Anyways, this has helped so much plan and organize... like unbelievably so.

This means more blogs posts and time set aside to write them!

Do you use planners? Let me know!

Beauty Review: Becca x Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop

Hello!

As I mentioned in my last blog post,  today I will be reviewing the Becca x Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop! I'm super excited to own this product and to be able to review it for you guys today!

The packaging is the normal Becca packaging, but the box that it comes in is a special edition version. It's almost the same colour as the actual product and it also features Jaclyn Hill's name which is super exciting! This is a limited edition product, in a limited edition shade. In Canada, it retails at $46.00 and you get 0.28 oz of product. The colour is a golden peachy pink, this is a very high shimmer product. It is not glittery or chunky in anyway, it is very finely milled and creamy to the touch. It is extremely pigmented, and a little bit goes a long way! It very easy to apply and blends very easily, it is also beautiful on every skin tone! It lasts great on my skin and I have combination skin. I'm sure it would last great on any skin, no worries if you have dry skin since it is such a creamy powder! This product is also formulated with out Parabens! Which is amazing as we all know. I absolutely love this product, I defiantly would recommend you grab this product before its gone! LOVE IT!

Sunday

Hello!

Today is Sunday, and honestly Sunday is my favourite day of the week. A day meant for rest, favourite foods, family time and casual adventures. If you live in Canada like I do, you will know that this weekend is a long weekend! So it's almost like we get to two Sundays since Monday is apart of the weekend too. Most people are out camping or gone on some four day trip, I'm wishing I was too! But since I had to work Friday and Saturday, I'm at home for the rest of the long weekend! Every Saturday night I sit down and think about what I'd like to do with my Sunday if I don't have to work. This week I have the luck that my family also has this Sunday off work. Today thought I'd have just a chill day at home for Sunday, maybe run to a few of my favourite shops later on. But today I'd like to share with you some of the best things to do on a Sunday, and maybe give you some ideas and inspiration for your Sunday!

1. Have a nice big Breakfast, treat yourself to the things that you wouldn't normally eat on a weekday.
2. I personally do not go to Church, not because I have some big reason as to why I don't go. We just never went as a family, but I love to go and attend different Church Services! I just find is so interesting, learning about everyone's different beliefs and values. I also hope by doing this I will maybe find which one I belong in. Because I would love to attend every week, I just need to find the right one! Anyways, if you do then go ahead and attend church or if your like me maybe try a new one out! Might just change your life, or don't if that floats your boat. Everyone has their own beliefs so you do you! :)
3.Sleep in a bit if you get a chance, sleep is so good and important for you. Always make sure you get enough sleep, at least 8 hours if you can. It can change how good and healthy you feel by a lot.
4.Relax, watch some movies, read that book you've been looking at for the last month or go lay in the backyard or a park and enjoy the sun if you can!
5. Give yourself some pamper time, have a bath or a hot shower and do your normal personal routine.  Maybe add a few extra steps to give yourself an extra boost, like a face mask or a special hair treatment. Always moisturize!
6.Go out a do something, nothing big a major but maybe do a bit of shopping or going for a hike or walk. Perhaps go for a picnic lunch or go out for lunch, always try to support local businesses if you can!
7.Have family time, spend time with them because they are the most important. Spend time with them anyway you can!
8. Have a early night so you can be at your best for the coming week!

Keep dreaming and make those dreams a reality! x

Current Favourite Product: Milani Baked Bronzer in Glow

Hello there loves!

Today I want to share with you a magical product!

The Milani Baked Bronzer in Glow

This product is so amazing... it makes my skin look so healthy and bronzed. But it does not make me look orange or anything yucky! It also works amazing as a highlight, since it is not a deeply coloured product it can work as both. It has amazing pigmentation, and blends beautifully. Some days I apply this by itself of the top of my cheek bones if I want my skin to look slightly bronzed and glowing. Other days I apply it over a matte bronzer to give my cheeks that extra kick. Another amazing thing about this product is that it is only 10 dollars! Super cheap and cheerful! I would recommend this product 100% whole heartily. Give it a try!

Keep dreaming and make those dreams a reality! x
