Our Day at Fort Edmonton Park

Hello there!

Yesterday was opening weekend at Fort Edmonton Park, so we decided to go and have a visit! This isn't my first visit and it defiantly will not be my last! Fort Edmonton Park is literally my favourite place to go for a sunny day. I'm super into history and if given the chance to go back in time, i'd go back somewhere in between 1840 and 1940. That 100 years in my opinion, has some of the best history and the way people lived was just so interesting!

Anyways, Fort Edmonton Park is a history themed park which takes you back into 4 different eras! It shows you what Edmonton was like in 1846, 1885, 1905 and 1920. The park has this spilt up into 1846 Fort and 1885, 1905, 1920 Streets. Each has its own history, and literally sends you back to that time period when you step into that area of the park. It's so magical! There's also other areas of the park such as Blatchford Field Air Hanger, Midway and so many more! Also, all the buildings in this park are either replica reconstructions of the original buildings or are the actual buildings that have been moved onto the site. Everything in this park is from the Edmonton area!

So today, I thought i'd share with you my favourite areas of the park and the photos I took yesterday while at the park! I didn't capture everything, because there is honestly so much to see and i'd be there  for 10 hours trying to take a picture of everything! Hopefully I captured just how amazing the park is!  If you live in the Edmonton area, or want somewhere new to visit on a trip i'd recommend this to anyone! There's something for everyone at this park!

That was our trip is a small nutshell! There is so many more things to see that I didn't get a picture of, these few bits were my favourite. Honestly this park is massive, they've done such an amazing job creating this park. I can't imagine the amount of work that goes into this, the people who work here are the most lovely and friendly people ever. The make you feel right at home, and they do such a good job of conveying the time era they are set in. The costumed workers, are so interactive and they teach you so much! Each time I go back, I learn something different! Fort Edmonton Park is such amazing and huge part of the Edmonton area, it is such a staple place for anybody who lives in the area. If you are ever in the area and want something to do, I recommend Fort Edmonton Park as your first choice!
