I Am Confident

Hello there!

Happy Wednesday to you! How's your week going so far?

Lately I've been noticing a trend out there, which I'm sure has been around for ages. But I'm noticing it a lot more in the last couple months, and that is shaming people for loving makeup, fashion and hair. People are been called out as fake, unconfident or hiding! Which in my opinion it completely ridiculous!

To the people who are calling other out, did it ever occur to you that we simply love doing these things? What does it matter anyway, who cares if throwing on some makeup or curling hair adds a bit on confidence? That's why that kind of stuff exists, to make us feel beauty and help add some self confidence! By doing these things it does not mean that we are hiding our true selfs or being untrue!

I am size 16 and I will wear what flatters my body and makes me happy!

I love to piece together my outfit and plan, it does not mean that I am self centred and vain. It means that it something I enjoy to do and find interesting! Does my dressing affect you in anyway? No.

I am a Makeup Artist, and I love to wear makeup, apply it and create new looks on my face or others.

I am also an artist, I love to paint and draw and the face is just another canvas. It's something I have passion for, I love my bare face as much as I love a full face of makeup! Who cares if it adds a bit of confidence? Does it mean I'm am fake and hiding behind the makeup? No, I'm the exact same person with or without it.

Weither I have my hair curled, full face of makeup, planned outfit with heels or messy bun, bare face and cozy clothes I am the same person! I have the same values, interests and life goals and adding or taking away these things does not change that! I am tired of being judged for this and I am not hiding, fake or unconfident! This goes for anyone else who has been judged by this.

After Highschool

Hello there!

The other day I had a conversation with someone about our thoughts on university and after high school life. We had very differing views upon it and i'd like to talk about it today.

When I graduated just over a year ago, I decided to take a year off of schooling to have some fun, work, travel and save some more money. I was never pressured into going into post secondary right out of high school, which I strongly feel is wrong. Never let someone pressure you into something if you don't feel ready or you honestly have no idea what you want to do yet. There no point in going and spending tons of money if you don't know what you want to do. Take some time, think about it and just breathe.

When I graduated, I thought I had a plan on what I wanted to do with my life but things changed for me and I went through some stuff in the first 6 months after I left high school. It gave me a total shift in my thinking and what I wanted to do. Even though no one pressured me into anything, I was putting a lot of pressure on myself. It started to show and I became very unhappy, frustrated and anxious. I thought I should have everything already figured out, even though I was only 18. I forgot that I'm still so young and everything will come into place when its supposed to. The more pressure you put on yourself, the harder everything becomes.

I just want to let anyone reading this to know that please don't feel pressured or upset if your still confused as hell as to what you want to do. There is no rush and school is always there, maybe school isn't even for you. Perhaps you just want to go right into the workforce, that's okay. Whatever your doing is okay, you have your own path for life. We're not all meant to do the same thing, there is something different for everyone. Also, don't let anyone stop you from achieving your dreams! No matter what you dreams are, you go for it! If it will make you happy, then do it! What's the point in doing something as a career if it doesn't make you happy? If your really love what you do, you'll never have to work a day in your life. I know sometimes that isn't an option and you'll have to do the crappy jobs to be able to live, but always shoot for and hold onto your dreams! Don't let anyone tell you different if thats's what you choose to believe.

Favourite Fall / Winter Lip Products!

Don't you agree that the year is going by so fast? It kinda scares me a bit, not gonna lie.

Now that we have entered the colder months, I love wearing dark lips and I almost have to! Its kinda become and obsession with me. I don't get to everyday due to work and things, but as soon as I have a chance you better know I'm wearing a dark bold lip.

I know wearing a bold lip can be a bit nerve-racking, but don't be scared and I promise you will rock it! Everyone does, try wearing it around the house for a day. Only you will see it and you can get comfortable with it first before you wear it in public.
